We purchased an LG dryer DLE3777W in Nov.in January started hearing a 'thumping' noice, looked up on the LG Web site for a 'certified repair service company', called LG and after a lengthly discussion with the customer service to find one of their own repair person (Like GE has!) The Certified Repair company was called. After waiting at least a week to be fit into their schedule the diagnosis was the rollers were defective and would need to be ordered.
Repair person returned in a week and a half to discover when putting on the rollers that the drum had a split in the seam. Thus either the drum caused the defective rollers or the rollers caused the split in the drum seam. Either way, we purchased a LG defective dryer, we paid the repair bill at a cost of $448.56. The repair person said that both the drum and rollers should last a mimium of 10 years. We sent a letter and a copy of the repair invoice to LG, but could not come up with the orignial invoice for the purchase. We were told they could not help us without the original invoice, which was finally tracked down, thinking they would then help with the cost, LG told us that arrangements for repair had to be made BEFORE the repair. Even though their customer service person did not bother to mention this with the first initial call. Great customer service, lg - not!!!
