Ripoff, demanded $936 as deposit for carpet installation and never did the work

I wish I would have did a little bit of research on the internet prior to hiring this guy. I would have found out how many people have been taken by this guy. I actually trusted him since he did work on another house and he came through AFTER a lot of following up from me. The second time around we were not so lucky. After giving him the deposit ($936.00) and him promising that he would return in about one week, we kept calling him and he kept putting us off saying he would be there, but he never showed. He actually said one time that times were tough and that he didn't have the cash to buy the carpet... So what did he do with the deposit we gave him??? I actually did a search on this guy's name and there has been two other law suits against him all in favor of the Plaintiff, but only by default. Which means the guy does not show up for court. Do not trust this guy!!
