J.R. Obrien Xtreme Fence is an extreme ripoff

We hired Xtreme fence "Simply The Best" (what a load of Sh—) to do a fence that was supposed to keep our 80 lb. Dog inside our yard. As they were about halfway done with the fence i noticed many issues and it was already falling apart. Xtreme fence installers (if that is what they call themselves), used sheet metal screws in our brick, poured concrete all over our new two different driveway's when installing their posts with an extreme mess as the end result. The driveways are a complete mess.

They killed new Zoysia sod as they did most of the prep work on the sod, when they should have been using the driveway, now this previous sodded area is basically dirt. They ruined 3 custom exterior lights, killed 2 large plants, decided to prune large evergreen branches of my trees, installed Xtreme fence material that literally came apart in less than 24 hours. They proceeded to pour dry concrete into fence post holes they dug (no premix was done) then they covered up those same holes with dirt, wow... Your supposed to use water and mix the stuff... Hello anyone home here? They also cut 2 irrigation lines and a drain line in 2 places (knew about it) but covered it up with soil as well. The Xtreme fence was installed in areas that were not level, did not line up, sections falling apart, materials literally falling apart and finials cracking. (how do you put a square into / onto a triangle?

The owner J.R. Obrien, finally came out and we discussed all of our concerns and pointed out all the issues & problems with his product. He stated in front of my wife & myself "He has never seen such a disaster of a fence installation in 20 years of being in business". He wanted to re-do this disaster with the same garbage fence and have these same installers fix all the problems. Gee all of a sudden he has landscapers and masonry people & electricians that also install fences on his staff... What a concept.

I explained to Mr. O'brien that I did not think his so called installers were qualified to fix anything at my home and for that matter they weren't even qualified to install a fence. I also told Mr. Obrien that I expected a complete charge back on our credit card which he has refused to do. So basically he wants to get paid for inferior work, inferior products and just deal with his insurance company about the $3000.00 plus damages that were done to our home and property. Mr. Obrien hung up on me today during a conversation of the monies that need to be returned (approx. $2900.00) which is the sum of the first 2 payments and charged to my credit card. The total for this job was approx. $4300.00.

Mr. Obrien only wants to communicate with me via the internet, no phone calls. He cannot be trusted, his workers do inferior work and the product they will try to sell you did not meet the expectations that they promised to us. I have over 80 digital pictures as to what Xtreme fence did, (and did not do) the fence they installed (if you can call it that) and the damage that was done to our home. Be wary of the promises they make, better yet do yourself a favor... Find someone else for your fencing needs.
