I hired William J Rego, as a contractor along with his foreman Raphael Class and his motley crew of thieves.
In short, Rego was paid in full for electric baseboard heaters, storm windows, shutters, doors and other materials that were never delivered ($12-15k). The projects he had started were never finished and the things he did complete had to be redone by other professionals. Rego posed as a Master electrician and licensed contractor in between big jobs, so he could offer cut rate prices to keep his crew from collecting on his company's unemployment benefits I took the bait. They had full access to my house while my wife and I were at work, they created chaos, during the renovation as a smoke screen to steal from us and to ask for money to get the project finished.in addition to paying him in advance for the projects, they stole $1,000 worth of tools, $500 in cash, any other items (items that had been stored in the basement of which I'm still uncovering). My lawyer advised me, that the amount of money owed to me due to unfinished work and non delivered items (12-15k), it was not worth the headache chasing the dirtbag. Finally the last check I cut him was for 3k was the last time I saw himhe left town in the middle of the night.
I had reported the stolen items to the police after they disappeared and they couldn't charge them because it was after the fact and they said because I was in "contract" with him I would need to take him to court. They said, they would follow up but never did.

I got the same story, his foreman said he hadn't paid any of his guys because I wasn't paying him. He has figured out how to work around the system and steal. The whole crew are druggies with tools.
