Stole 500 pounds from a teacher through a subletting scam United Kingdom

Richard Boardman set up a scam using his position as a lawyer to rip off young women in Wimbledon and lure them back to his house. I was unfortunately one of them.

He advertised a room which I accepted, and I paid him 825 pounds deposit and a months rent of 500 pounds.

After moving into his house in Wimbledon, on the first day while watching TV, he made me feel very uncomfortable by making continual sexual advances towards me, despite me telling him I had a boyfriend. When I informed him that this was not appropriate behavior and to back off he started making excuses about how due to repair work the room would not be ready for another 7 weeks. I had already moved all of my stuff into my room and I didn't see any repair work that needed doing.

I told him I couldn't wait that long as I was starting my new job the next day and that I wanted my my money back. He said that the money was tied up but he would get it back to me soon.

This was 6 months ago and now he refuses to return my calls and emails and I haven't seen a penny. I notice that the room is still advertised on Gumtree so I imagine that he is still pulling this scam and I'm posting here to warn other women about him. Don't be the next victim. He works for quite a prominent law company and sends all his emails from work so you wouldn't think that he would sink to this level.
