Defective product BS warranty

This 7 ft., $570 KraftMaid pantry had a flawed front left corned jointure; but, we thought it was acceptable when we unboxed it in Feb. Of 97.in Aug. Of 2000 this side panel seperated from the front face board about midway down the side; the plastic shelf supports snapped, propelling my dishes, some wedding gifts and heirlooms, out the doors to shatter all over the floor and the shelves crushing the contents of the shelf below that. When we spoke to the company rep. He told us that they would not honor the warranty because the cabinet was required to be attached to the wall! Nowhere did it state that; plus securing it that way would not have prevented the faulty front seams from seperating. To top it off the rep. Was rude.
