Cheapo Ripoff shelves

We paid $1700 bucks for 2 glass cabinets that we put on either side of the fireplace. Yes they are gorgeous, BUT Home Depot said the shelves would match the wood.instead we received cheap laminate shelves that were flaking at the edges.

Kraftmaid rep was unsympathetic. Said to look at the sample displays at Home Depot and that's how they are made. Here's the sneaky part.

The display cabinets are dark like ours, BUT they put in very light shelves to downplay the defect. Kraftmaid did replace our shelves-the laminate is better-not flaking. We were upset because we expected a nice quality wood considering the price. They don't even offer an upgrade.
