We (I and my 77 year old monther) contracted with this guy to put on a new roof, install new windows, paint, repair the front porch and install vinyl trim. He did the roof and the painting and most of the porch but then stopped. The porch is unfinished, he left 2x4's holding up the roof and he did not finish the vinyl trim. He removed the old storm windows but never installed the new vinyl windows that he was paid for. We went round and round with him and he offered all kinds of excuses. "I hurt my knee, it's too cold, it's raining, a relative died". So, after sending him registered letters and letters via regular post that he never responded to, we sued him in small claims court where all he did was lie to the judge. We won a judgement against him for $8000.00. We also filed a complaint with the state Licensing and Labor Regulations Board. They sent an investigator out to inspect the house. The investigator filed our complaint and his report with the Board and a hearing is scheduled for July 7. He could lose his contractor's license. So don't hire this clown!
