Contractor and I signed a contract, he showed me his bond and pictures of previous work. He was very reassuring and gave me a flier stating his experience. On April 3 he was to pour and stamp a patio for us, the day and the following were sunny. He notified us he changed to the 4th, we came home from work and he and his workers were struggling to put a tarp up as it had been raining consistently all day. The result is a disaster, complete rain damage, 75% of stamping ruined. The contractor Mr. CU said it wasn't his fault, he said he would remove patio and I would not have to pay him the remaining half of contract. I would have no patio and be out half the cost. If I contracted him to pour and stamp another patio it would require another contract. He really did a disastrous job, he was suppose to have a pump truck pump cement to back of home.instead he had four non-English speaking workers wheel barrow it and in the process spilled plenty on grass and landscaping. When pouring forms they splashed on two set of French doors, which was a real pain to clean. Of course they left the mess. On a scale of one to ten the job in my estimation was a two at best. We really don't know what to do other than taking him to small claims. I'm considering making my own fliers and balk mailing to surrounding community.
