Could not snake a sewer line, pushed other methods

The problem was simple, run a snake to clear out the tree roots, something we have had to do many times. Bottom line was the tech could not do it. He kept pushing me to get a "jet treatment" ($400) or to have the pipe relined ($3300).
This guy was very non-professional and seemed to be not over familiar with running a snake. I had to call another plumber and the line was cleared in 5 minutes.
