Five Star helped to ruin my credit

Work was not done in a timely fashion. Half way thru the job all contact was lost for a month with the company. After going to the business address, I found it to be a residential house and the occupant said he would talk to his son and friend. Still I got no response, shortly before contacting my lawyer they returned with an excuse and then finished work, after; several more calls that went unanswered. It took three months for a three week job. When the job was finished I paid them in full. Six months after job was finished I found out a company that they got supplies from had put a lien on my house because the original company Five Star had not paid their bill. As a result I now wind-up with a permanent record of having a lien being placed against my house. This is not what you want on your credit record.
