Non Receipt of Goods and Definite Lack of Customer Service

I think this statement should be getting old, as I now see so many others with the same problem. However, I am also a victim of fraud from Placesettings.com.
I placed an internet order with Placesettings.com for some Lenox china at the beginning of November. After two weeks, I contacted "Customer Service" to find out the shipping status. At that time I was told that my order would take 2 to 4 weeks. At 3 1/2 weeks and 4 1/2 weeks, I tried again several times using both emails and calling to their company phone number (aka, answering machine) and was completely ignored.
At 5 weeks, I emailed them to cancel the order and that I was contacting the fraud department of my credit card company. The company finally responded that (1) I couldn't cancel my order and (2) orders take 4 to 6 weeks to complete (unlike their earlier email of 2 to 4 weeks).
Obviously, I was not going to get my order of china. All I can say it thank heavens I used a credit card for this purchase. Next time I will check with complaint before ordering from companies I do not know.
