Oofing company: distructive workers, terrible customer service, bad results

My family contacted Ed Mack to replace the roof of our home. He accepted to replace our roof, and we sent him a check for partial payment so he could buy supplies. We never heard from him for over 2 months... We called him numerous times, left many messges and after many weeks he called back and said he was busy with other jobs and he would get to ours eventually. He would set a starting date then never show up. This happened more than once.

Finally after 3 months he started the job. His crew broke over 1/2 of my outdoor lighting fixtures. They also broke the fencing surrounding my flower gardens in multiple places. They trashed my back deck and left garbage laying around all over the place. Ed Mack tried to increase the price for the roof and we refused because his reasons for increasing the prices were bogus and we caught him in many lies.

After the roof was completed he left all the old shingles, wood, etc. Laying in our yard surrounding our home for another 2 months. We, again, had to call him numerous times to get him to come back and clean up the mess (that was stated in our contract as his job to get rid of the old materials). By the time he cleaned up the mess, all of our grass was dead around our entire home! He did an awful job of cleaning up the mess - as we are still finding parts of shingle, and nails all through our yard - that was about a year ago we got the roof replaced.

Now, not even a year later - the roof is leaking, and we have called many times and left him messages - but he wont call us back to make arrangements to fix the leaking roof.
