Ripoff The owner's son came out to "service" our A/C unit, Unit was working and now is not. They are not taking any responsibility

Our warranty company advised us to call Murphy's, so we did. They came out and told us we needed to have it cleaned. We scheduled a cleaning on a Friday.

That night the unit started to make a loud noise and the noise progressed over the weekend all the way through Monday. We came home from work Monday and the unit was not working at all, it was 92 degrees in our house.

We contacted the company and when they came out they advised that they would not do anything about it because someone had "kicked or pushed" the unit off the palet it was on and the fan was now broke etc. We then had a good friend of ours, who is an engineer, come over and LOOK at it. He said that when it was being cleaned they probably bent the fan which in turn caused it to shake and eventually come off the palet. This would explain the loud noise.

The owner scheduled with us to come out to look at the unit himself. The day of he canceled due to a family emergency but did not have anyone else come out. I decided to call the company myself and attempt to speak with the owner, Andy. The secretary advised me he wasn't in and when I told her who I was she rudely advised that "he will be getting with you guys". I explained to her that if something is not done then we will be going to court over this matter. She loudly yelled "We don't care", I then said, "Yes, I understand this" and at this time she said "whatever" and hung up on me.

Andy, the owner, finally came out and looked at the unit. He explained there was no proof etc so he could not do anything but will not be making us pay for the "services". He did not write up anything at all for proof of him coming out or telling my boyfriend this.

When we were finally out of resources we turned to my boyfriends uncle, who works on a/c units. He found us a new unit and installed it himself. We are now in debt almost $800.00 due to this.

Come to find out the owner and his son were advising something to the effect that the fan wouldn't work etc., this was due to a breaker being off. Now, if this company were professionals and knew what they were doing you would think they would have checked this out.
