RusticDirect Furniture RIPOFF! Fraud-Theft-Lies - They just use the internet as their weapon~, Florida, Mexico

I Like many others, I purchase a dining room set from RusticDirect.com. I have a stack of emails dating back 4 months full of lies and promises of delivery. They billed my card the day I placed my order, including shipping... Something unheard of in internet shopping.

I have spent hours, if not days trying to get answers on where my set was. After a clear sign that this delivery was probably never going to happen, I started searching for recourse. I filed a claim with my bank and to my delight, my bank refunded ALL of my money... No problem. I found a local company that carries rustic pine and purchase my set there. It was in my living room in two days. I paid maybe 20.00 more than the advertised price on this bogus site... And no shipping!!!

The man who sold me my set told me all about Rustic Direct and its alias'. He said they'd been ripping people off for years... Question is, why? Why is our Attorney General letting it happen? Internet companies are no different than those we do business with on a daily basis, In fact, they should be watched even closer due to the potential for fraud.

I filed a complaint with the Attorney General of TX, N. Carolina AND California! Even though I got my money back and my story ended on a positive notes - minus the four months of stress and anger - I feel it is important to warn others and do something to stop this kind of down right theft.

If we walked into Macy's and took a pair of pants and walked out the door, that is theft... How is this different? We would be sent to jail for this kind of act... These people are using their computers to steal money from the consumer. They are smart though. Who would think a furniture store would be the front for a scam? I sure didn't. Furniture? Come on!

Anyway, I hope this touches someone and if you are currently 'waiting' on delivery, take charge and contact your bank!!! Get your money back now!

These people will soon change their name again and disappear under a new alias! We need to expose these theives!!!
