Ripoff Price gouging in an emergency situation

Back in April, I had my entire sewage system back up in my house. I have the Dominion Power In-Home-Sewage Program so I called for emergency service. They sent McCoy Plumbing to my house. I do not have a clean out in my yard so they immediately said it would be $650.00 to put a clean out in my yard. I didn't have that kind of money. Because the problem was "behond the house walls", the Dominion Program was void. They then said it would be $450.00 to pull the commode and snake the drain. Well, I had a daughter with pnuemonia and had to have my bathrooms so I borrowed the money and had the work done.

Yesterday, I had two different companies come out to give me an estimate for a clean out in my yard to avoid this problem again. BOTH companies quoted me $250.00 to do the clean out vs. McCoys $650.00. THEN I asked them both "if you had to respond to a whole house clog, how much would you charge to pull the commode since there is no cleanout?" They both looked at me like I was stupid and said "I would just snake it from the vent on the roof". WHAT??? What vent? They both showed me the vent and then quoted me $85.00 to clear the clog. I was livid.

OH WAIT... To add salt to the wound... When McCoy's plumber put the commode back on the floor, he busted the flange. McCoy then said it was my problem and charged me ANOTHER $250.00 to rpl the flange... I paid a total of $700.00 for this sewage clog. I tried to argue but they had me over a barrel. They were gouging the mess out of me in sight of my emergency situation.

McCoy is the biggest area ripoff in plumbers that Hampton Roads has ever seen. DO NOT, under any circumstances, use them in an emergency... in fact, I wouldn't use them at all and I intend to tell everyone about their deceptive practices!!!
