I had a blockage in my main sewer line&demonstrated by raw sewage backing up in my bathtub and the sink emptying into the bathtub. I called Mr. Rooter to come out and clean out the main sewer line.

The technician&Harry came out and cleaned out the sewer from the clean out in the driveway&which did not solve the problem. He then opened the pee trap under the kitchen sink and cleaned that out with the routing machine&the bathtub emptied&because Harry had broken the trap at the washing machine drain under the house and raw sewage was free flowing under the house. Harry wanted to charge me an additional $325 to use the camera to look into the sewer pipe&he did and he said that it was for free because I was going to hire him to fix it on the side... (behind the company's back as it were)...

Harry said that the main sewer was crushed where it met the house and needed replacing&$2600 to dig it up outside&he wanted $1300 up front cash to start. My sister advised another estimate&as it did need fixing right away with the sewage poruing under the house. Harry wanted to fix it on the side outside of the Mr. Rooter Company for cash. He charged me $345 for all this and did not fix it at all...

I called another plumbing company&who took the toilet up and routed out the clog - and then fixed the broken trap at the washing machine&the sewer line was not crushed at all but stopped up... The camera view of the sewer line was free from the 2nd company... This 2nd company charged $635 but fixed the whole thing...

The second company said that the sewer line could be completely replaced without too much digging for $4500&no money up front and they have financing&now that is a reputable company...

I stopped payment on the check for Mr. Rooter and I have the trap harry tore up with the router&plus a statement from the 2nd plumbing company that this is what happened...

Dont use Mr. Rooter&they are not honest&
