We got an estimate for floor coverings, accepted the bid, then suddenly that product was out of stock. Should have been a clue. A deposit was required to come to our house just to get a bid. Should have been a clue. Then the $500.00 deposit we were stupid enough to pay was not part of the bid, it was added on top later so the $3,000 bid turned out to be a $3,500.00 job. Should have been a clue. Very deceptive. The sales staff and all other people in the organization have business cards with only their first names on them. Should have been a clue.
We were asked to pick the floor coverings up and bring them to our house. They tried to charge an extra charge to bring the product! Then they sent two boys who had watched a video the day before on how to install tile and hardwood. Anyone who hs ever watched a home improvement show knows you have to level a floor before you lay hardwood. Nope not these guys. They laid hardwood over our 25 year old wavy floor and said not to worry it would be fine. Well come on over and take a look. It's so far from fine.
The final piece of our floorcovering horror was when we waited to make the final payment until we could try to get it resolved with the Better Business Bureau, This deceptive, unethical company used our credit card (we made our deposit pmt with it) and took $500.00 a day in unauthorized withdrawls totaling $3000. We called the police and filed a fraud claim with Visa and got the money back. This company is very familiar with deceptive practices and will take you to the cleaners. Go somewhere else. Use Abby Carpet in downtown Puyallup. Much better reputation. Maybe a little more expensive but you get what you pay for!!
