Did poor work, took years never finished, no refund! Ripoff

This individual has over 23 court judgements and unpaid fines against him. He did a small remodel job and suggested other work to be done.

As he worked, he found more and more things "wrong" with the home and started more jobs. He starts a job, collects money, then starts more jobs, gets more money, BUT HE NEVER FINISHES the work. He will hold the unfinished work hostage to get more money from you. He played us this way for over 2 years.

He stole well over $100,000 from us and we had to fix the "work" he did at more expense, and then more money to finish what he started. As a small example, he replaced our heating system with a new one, saying it was worn out and bad. There was nothing wrong with it, but he is very smooth at what he does. The piping he installed had many leaks and no return lines, the furnace ran all winter and we froze! Cost to get the new system fixed was over $3,000. Monthly gas bills were 4 times higher while we froze. Another example was a bathroom remodel which he swore would be done in two weeks. We could not shower for THREE MONTHS! There are many many more examples.

The state of New Jersey does not require any kind of License for remodelers and so his license cannot be suspended, and lawyers won't sue him because he has no money to pay his judgements anyway. The only way to protect yourself is to not hire him. If you already are using him, get him out of your house immediately, cut your losses by not giving him another penny!
