Homes.com Misleading Public, Violating Callers who ask to be on a "Do NOT Call List", Lying in order to close sales, ripoff ex-employee inside info

Construction & Repair

Attest that the previous report on this site is just and true. Worked for the company one month. Numerous occasions where I heard customer complaints that they did NOT receive the services that they had paid for& never had their featured homes listed, or were totally displeased with the service and advertising.

Also— there were a number of times when the internet site of www.homes.com— completely "went down". My supervisor explained that this is the same type of electrical fluke— that happens periodically. But it is Extremely difficult to sell internet advertising space— if the system CRASHES while you are in the middle of a sales presentation.

This company is now owned by Trader Publishing and has "linkages" well over 2 million. However— they have a very large salesforce that is taking about 3-5 phone callers to their site every working day... Which is bumping up their numbers to get them to the top of the Organic Search Engine— and makes it appear as though they are one of the top sites that consumers go to — to buy or sell a home.

The reality... A lot of people may never actually be pulling up Homes.com to search for a house... More than likely— these figures are misleading because "viewers"— may actually be other advertising prospects that are taken to the site— in order to be shown a competitors advertising, or other banner ads.

Beware of this&

Also&
Personlly witnessed my supervisor acting as if she were looking up an electronically calculated record— of exactly how many "hits" were being collected by my client's competitor. She reported a number like "97 hits per month"& but actually never accessed ANY figures on her computer screen. She— Out and Out— LIED... in order to Close the Sale.

This company is a direct competitor of www.realtor.com— and regularly accesses the realtor.com's directory in order to sell them advertising space on Homes.com.

Every Day— I would hear countless realtors state that this was the 2nd or 3rd time this week that they had been called by a salesperson from Homes.com. They would beg to be taken off the "calling list"& but since each sales associate is accessing a directory on-line... It is impossible for them to be included in a "Do Not Call" List.

From an Employee point— this company has extremely HIGH TURN OVER. They have the virtual "Revolving Door". Part of this is due to their concept of a 2 hour training session... That actually requires weeks of information to be able to successfully close sales. They are constantly advertising in "The Reader" publication in San Diego.

When you are hired there— you are given "cold calls"— until you become one of their top sellers. At that point— only the Top Sellers are given the good leads. This creates a huge challenge... And is greatly "unfair".

One of my work associates in the Web Department did not receive her full pay check. There are numerous signs that the company is "off course"— yet they are unwilling to implement strategies to correct their customer service issues— or to find a way to NOT call people whom they've already called.

The management is very micromanaged. People feel that they are "caged" in their cubicles— only allowed to take breaks at official times. People are "written up" if they are a minute late... And there is a huge loss of Morale over this.

One of my friends did not receive her full paycheck.
Beware of this company from an Advertising Stand point— as well as an Employer.

They are hiding behind the illusion of the Trader Publishing Umbrella... But the reality... They are misleading their advertisers... And disgruntling countess people who are called— regardless of their preference to be on a "do not call list".
