Discriminating rude liars unprofessional DO NOT RENT FROM THEM

I was told by Brandyco that when they check credit, they only look at past rental history in determining weather they will rent to a person. I told her since I have no credit, what would me and my husband have to do to get the house. She said we would need EITHER first & last months rent security deposit worth amount of rent ($2400) OR a cosigner.

Well she was rude the whole time her name is Dee and she is an older african american lady in the office. Well when she called me to tell me the status of my credit check, I told her I had the money and she said thats not enough, now I needed a cosigner too.

Well my husbands dad agreed to cosign and drove 3 hrs to get here. As soon as she looked at his application, she said "No you cant cosign because you are retired." UMMMMM... If thats not discrimination, please tell me what is! She said they couldnt touch his govt check if we didnt pay rent. They couldnt garnish his wages.

Then she said to me, "your dad is military I thought he was going to cosign." so I had my dad fill out an application and the next day I called and the damn lady tells me "ummm... No your dad's application is no good either." when i asked why not, she said she didnt know, she would have to talk to him, so i handed him the phone. "He owes TXU 400 from 5 yrs ago." Nope it didnt matter that he just got approved for a 120,000 house did it, or that his credit SCORE is good.

She told him she didnt let my father in law cosign because they couldnt garnish his wages in the event that we didnt pay. My dad said, they couldnt garnish his either. The lady said, "we can call your commander." SO she is saying that they only rent to military, which is DISCRIMINATION and UNLAWFUL.
