Ripoff disclosure of private info to others religious persecution verbal harrassment

To make a long story short, because of a banking error, my check was returned saying that I had stopped payment. The manager of this store called a friend listed as a reference and told her that I had stopped payment and they were taking my check to the hot checks division to have me arrested if I didn't show up with the money by 2pm that day. I had to leave work and called to let them know I was on my way after I found out what was going on. I was told on the phone that I needed to come take care of it now or I was going to jail.

After going to the bank and being instructed that it was indeed a bank error and they would take care of any late fees, I headed to Aarons. The manager said it was a good thing I showed up because I would have gone to jail. I explained that it was a bank error and to put on my receipt that I had a late charge. The manager continued to ask why I put a stop payment on my check; stating that I was lucky not to be going to jail.By that point, I asked him to just come and get the furniture. I was told I was stupid for paying for the furniture and having them pick it up, but if I wanted to pay for my furniture to go in someones house it was no skin of their back. Then, he said he would pick it up that week. I stated that I had paid for the month and pick it up at the end... He said that they didn't schedule that far ahead.

I asked to see his supervisor and he said that he was the manager and he was the #1 store in the state and would be there after I made my complaint. He then asked if I used to be a minister (I did) and why I would cuss if I were a minister. I asked what that had to do with my bill and he went on about how he would pray for me. I told him I didn't need his prayers and the said we might leave Jesus but he never leaves us and I needed Jesus. I asked which man had been rude to me on the phone. He said "you came in here with an attitude and you ain't gonna disrespect my people." He then kept on saying that I made him upset and he needed a cigarrette... As he walked by me he said this lady has the devil in her. He then proceded to go and smoke outside.

By the time the supervisor got there all I could do was cry, I was humiliated. He said he would talk to him.

I called the 1800 number on the web to find a regional supervisor to complain. I was put on hold and the guy came back and gave me a name and number. When I called I was again berated for "stopping payment". He then went on to ask how I got the number. When I told him from the website, he called me a liar. He then told me it was his personal cell number and to never call it again. I have never had anyone contact me to apologize and I can't wait to get the stuff paid off.

I forgot, he also called my friend back while I was in the store and asked if I had a mental problem because I was in there "clicking on him".
