Deck Landscaping causes flooding

Construction & Repair

I hired K-Squared to demolish, remove, and replace my aging deck with a deck and concrete patio. Initially, the bid was a reasonable $11 to $12 thousand dollars but soon the cost soared to $15 thousand. To accommodate the concrete patio, K-Squared had to change the grade of the backyard causing my basement to flood on multiple occasions. The owner turned the situation over to his insurance and attempted to adjust the grade mistake by raking some of the surface gravel in the affected area without effect. Water flow has been directed into my basement window well and my basement continued to leak with every measurable rainfall forcing me to hire another contractor to fix K-Squared’s mess.
