Can't record more than two shows at one time

Come on Direct, everyone else can do this so why can't you. I have been a faithful customer for years, but I am tired of missing shows because I can't record more that 2 at a time. I would hate to go to dish, but if you can't see your way to upgrade, I just might have to.
