Damaged Dryer Drum

My front load dryer is just over a year old and the drum in my dryer has cracked at the seam. I would think because it is at the seam that it would be something that is happening at manufacturing. There are many complaints of this happening with these dryers and I think it is unfair for consumers to only get a little over a year out of a machine. The part is about 300.00 with delivery with out installation. It makes me sick to think of spending more money on something that may only last another year. Talk with Samsung customer service on and off for hours today and get it is out of warranty.
