Erb & Mascio Builders
Did not install appliance properly, sold house as wrong zip code

On February 28 I purchased a new home from Erb/Mascio builders. I would never buy another house from them again. I have many complaints but my chief among them are:

1. Erb Mascio did not convert my oven/range to propane from its default natural gas setting. The first time we used the oven it flooded the entire house in smoke in a matter of minutes. Upon alerting Erb/Mascio to this fact they told us they did not know how to convert the oven/range they installed and to just have the gas company do it and they would reimburse us. We had the gas company do it and it's almost two years later and they still refuse to reimburse us or return our calls or FAXes. It also really scared me to think what other dangerous situations they created by not knowing how to do something? My neighbors reported their oven/ranges were not converted when they were installed by Erb/Mascio either.

2. Erb Mascio Builders (through Nina Hamaday at ERA Plantium Realtors) advertised, negotiated price on and sold my house as having a 19406 King of Prussia zip code. It in fact has a 19405 Bridgeport zip code. I have printouts from their advertisement on realtor.com that advertises 19406 and my Agreement of Sale that describes the property as having a 19406 zip code. What's the big deal? 19405 has significantly higher auto insurance rates and very significantly lower property values. Their excuse? They made a simple mistake, and they're not responsible for their mistakes. I would never again do business with someone who thinks they're not responsible for their mistakes.
