Magic Jack
Unacceptable service - review

I purchased magic jack with the anticipation that I would save money. I ordered for $69.95 the magic jack and $29.95 for one year service. It arrived with no information about how to get tech advice for connecting when a problem arose. The 30 days free trial and the statement that no charges applied to you credit card were false. They immediately got my phone number from AT&T and charged my card with $224 worth of charges. After several days of on the computer and getting no where I checked with my credit card company to find that the charges were already applied. When I went to use my home phone the line was dead. Contacted AT&T only to find out that magic jack had it disconnected. Two requests were made to them to return my Number to AT&T with no success even though I provided them with the account number and PID. Now they want to charge me $30 to retrieve my number even though I was unable to get satisfactory service with their product.
I find some of their practices to be deceptive. You call and they say answers can be found on the internet but if you have no access because they disconnected you. Beware!
