I purchased a 52 inch LCD TV in January.in N0vember, it started having intermittent picture issues. I called Sony in early December, and was advised to contact an authorized Sony repair company. I did this. The company (Mera's in Rockford Il) promptly picked up the TV to evaluate the problem (on December 11). On December 13, Mera's called to report the problem and that the part had been ordered from Sony to repair the problem. 3 weeks later, Mera's has not received the part and neither they or I can get any information from Sony. I called the customer service at Sony yesterday and today. I was on the phone over 30 minutes each day, but could never talk to anyone except the customer service rep who answered and she was not helpful or knowledgeable. I cannot beleive how terrible the service has been and how awful the customer service at the call center was. Based on this experience, I will not purchase a Sony product again and take the chance on needing repairs. I would have expected so much more from this company.
