Problems unresolved - Hp Notebook Pavilion laptop

I have had nothing but problems since i purchased this hp pavillion dv4t 1200 laptop a year or two ago. It overheats about every 20 minutes and shuts off. Irritating to say the least. From the very beginning the touch pad makes the cursor skip back into my sentence i am typing and every three words it starts typing over previous words typed. Talk about frustrating. I could go on but whats the point. I hope hp reads these because i would tell everyone to never buy one.
