UPS and Best Buy Delivery

I ordered a product from best buy and entered the street address number wrong. Three characters wrong on the address. Best buy shipped it via UPS.

UPS suppossedly researched the address and instead of correcting it to an easily located address using google modified the address to a completely different stree address and retried delivery.

Meanwhile I contacted UPS and Bestbuy to let them know the address was wrong and give them the correct street address number so the package could complete delivery.

Both agencies said the other agency had a policy prohibiting anybody talking to anybody else about changing the address. I tried to explain I owned the error, its my mistake, and I would pay a fee to correct the address but it did not work. UPS refused to send the package back or correct the address. Best buy refused to contact UPS to follow up.

Best buy management was most cooperative agreeing to ship out another of the same product now instead of waiting for UPS to figure out the address was wrong and ship it back.

I will avoid shipping with UPS in the future and will tell my friends the same. If a company uses UPS an no other option, I will shop for another company that gives me choices.
