Throughout the years I have had several Sony products that I have been very satisfied with, including TV's, DVD players, music players, etc. And had no major problems with any of these products. However, we received a brand new, in a sealed box Sony Blu Ray player BDPN460 as an anniversary gift from my mother in law back in April. It was great! The picture quality was awesome, it was very user friendly, totally HD and stunning quality. That is, until it stopped powering up at all after about 3 1/2 months of normal usage. No prob... I called up the Sony support people and they told me to send it in and they would determine how to proceed from there and let me know. I waited for a response from them for over 3 weeks before I decided it was time to see what was up. Apparently they had already sent me a replacement Blu Ray player but didn't bother to notify me about this. Furthermore, the package was left at my door and required NO SIGNATURE... Needless to say, I never received the Blu Ray player. Since that first follow up call that I made to see where everything was, I have been told that their systems are down, that they have no supervisor, that they don't have any information for me, that they are waiting for Fedex to investigate the delivery, and that there's nothing they can do at this time to help me. At this point, I have been without the player for over a month and a half, have been treated like dirt by their "service" reps, and don't even expect that I will ever get a replacement. Sony products are really great, until they break or don't work anymore because their SERVICE SUCKS!!! I just want my Blu Ray player!!!
