Computers & Services

Called me to report that they were Microsoft Support and they were getting serious error messages from my computer. At first I didn't trust them but they gave me identifying information that led me to believe them. (I thought they were actually from Microsoft.) I allowed them to connect to my computer and they showed me what they said were problems. They then said they'd correct it with payment. With some trepidation, I consented to pay them to make the fixes. The following day I could not start my computer; they'd messed up my computer. I called them back and after numerous steps it took a System Restore to make things right. I demanded cancellation and refund of the service plan but they refused on the grounds that I was receiving all of the services (only one thing was actually done, and I didn't accept their antivirus). These people cannot be understood on the phone; they are heavily accented and frequently during the calls shouting drowns out the conversation. *I am convinced that Eprotech and Expertztech are the same company; the credit card charge says "Eprotech" but the support email is "Expertztech."*
