Software download purchase

On Thursday the 28, I purchased the Premier Quickbooks from Dell and downloaded it. But when I tried to open it, I get the message: " Cannot download the application. The application is missing required filed. Contact application vendor for assistance." On Friday I sent emails to various customer service people including the guy who sent me the download, DDS_Ecomm_LTG (dds_ecomm_ltg@dell.com)
So far he is the only one to at least respond, but his suggestion was:
"Our apologies for the issue you have encountered. This issue may be caused due to the web browser you are attempting to use. Please try to download from a different browser, i.E. If you are using Firefox, try downloading with Internet Explorer and vice versa. Also due to the large file size it is highly recommended that you clear your cache, Internet history, and cookies and download while connected directly to your internet. Downloading using a wi-fi connection can result in errors such as corrupted and missing files because a wi-fi connection often times breaks."
My husband, a hightech person said sounds lame but we'll try their suggestion. We tried IE, Firefox, chrome and Opera without success.
I emailed the guy back and he said
"Thank you for contacting Dell | License Technologies Group. We are a subsidiary of Dell and provide download fulfillment of the order only. To request a refund or for questions regarding your order through Dell, please contact Dell directly using the link provided below or via phone at 1-800-283-2210, hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7am-8pm CST."
What a racket! They should be ashamed of their poor performance and support.
