I purchased a pair of ESPN sunglasses at the Sears store on 6/15 using my sears gold master card for the sum of $23.43. The first broke in two days after purchase. Returned for a new pair and they two broke within a day. Returned for the third pair and they two fell apart within a couple of days. Reluctantly I was forced to ask for a full refund as the glasses were seemingly all defective. The clerk stated that my gold card was not reflecting the sun glasses purchased and the previous receipt returned to me for the previous returned glasses showed the value at $15.40. That amount was returned to me by a store gift card. When I received my credit card statement I returned to the store asking for the $8.30 difference and was told by a floor manager that I will need the original purchase receipt in order to receive any further refunds. I showed two managers the credit card statement that reflected the ESPN sunglasses purchased for the amount of $23.43 and they refused to return my money. Both managers began berating me with insinuations and accusations inferring that I was attempting to defraud them even though I repeated that the credit card statement does not lie. The manager began yelling and stating that I have no cause for any refund. I was a long standing customer of sears...
