I thought I did my research before purchasing this washer a little more than one year ago. My husband and I knew that we wanted a simple, top loading machine that washed clothes well. This model seemed like a viable option in a sea of poorly reviewed and overly complicated HE models. Today, I am officially fed up with it (think Michael Douglas in the movie Falling Down)! I've just scheduled a repairman to come out to my house for the third time to complete warranty work. The problem I have is with the counterweight assembly, which is essentially a cinder block with bolts, coming loose and knocking round so much that my entire house shakes. It's been a terrible experience and I now regret replacing the 80s Kenmore model we inherited from Grandma which ate sweaters on occasion. It takes a lot for me to write an angry letter, but my family is sincerely disappointed with this product.
