GE Hydrowave Washer, Broken fin on agitator - Ge Hydrowave Washing Machine

I bought a new GE washer and dryer from Lowe's. The washer is a GE hydrowave model # GEWN4250DOWS. I was amazed at how little water it used to wash clothes and the clothes came out looking great and smelling great totally awesome, or so I thought. I had washed about 40 loads in the washer when the problem surfaced. A few times prior things would get caught under the fins of the agitator, once a pair of sweat pants, then a t-shirt, a real pain to get back out. The problem is the fins are not connected on the bottom to the agitator allowing things to get caught. Now I have a broken fin and can not use the washer because the broken fin damages clothes. So now I need a new agitator and unless they redesigned it nothing is going to prevent this from happening again. Great washer, poor design on the agitator!!
