Service dept $160 key did not work from day 1

I went to a dealer to get a new key made for my 2000 accord because it was a special coded key. This was no problem said the sales rep, it will cost 160 to do it.

WOW! 160 i thought, well whatever, i need it and it was from a reputable company "HONDA".

WRONG! Be aware, switch and bait!

I went there on my day off, the company took my car in and had the key made to my vin number. The sales person said, it will be 2 hrs. When i cam back, the dealer said we had issues and the keys did not work.

Alright i said what are the options...

The dealer said to rekey the car and ignition for $800.

Oh no, this was my commute car, with 200k on it, so i said this was not an option.

He took me up to the front to do some paperwork and left.

The cashier said my balance was the full amount of 160. I said i wanted to see the manager. He came and said he could knock it down to 70 bucks. From all this commotion i was late for my lunch meeting, so i just paid it and left.

After lunch, i felt riped off and called to get a refund. For two days no response. No refund, because they felt that service had been satisfied because i had paid the money. Remember i wanted a ignition key made. And it did not works in my ignition, floor lock, gas lock, just the trunk. (FBS)

I called Sonic automotive dealership, the main company and asked them to look into the matter. Again the dealing was said that the service was satisfied because of the key was made. Even though it did not start the car, it opened the car.
So I went to yelp! And found that there were lots of complaints against these guys.

I was pissed, because i went to LOWES and they made me a key that works for $35 and guaranteed it to work.

Don't use these guys! If so, keep their dirty noses to the grind stone.
