Excessive oil consumption

Our 2006 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL seems to be section of a recall (NTB06-028) for excessive gas usage. The vehicle started showing the outward symptoms of the recall concerning extreme oil-burning at 120K miles in late June. The issue began abruptly, using one-quart every 600 miles with in fourteen days one-quart every 300-350 miles.
