Ripoff fraud bad faith payoff scam extortion

In July an agreement was made with WFS Financial in which they agreed to accept $18,500 as a total and complete payoff for my truck. After the payment was sent to them and a month had gone by without my title arriving I called to follow up.

At that time they said that the title was in process and that I would have it within 45 days of the settlement date. Today I called them and they are claiming that I owe them another $1806 dollars. They have negotiated in bad faith, lied to me, and are engaging in tactics that are nothing less than extortion. I will never deal with WFS Financial again, and I urge anyone considering buying a car to walkaway from any deal involving them as a finance company. WFS Financial is a despicable company not worthy of any customers.
