Nissan Motors 2009 Nissan Sentra Blow-Up after only 64K Miles - CLAIM DENIED BY NISSAN

Cars & Transport

I bought a pre-owned 2009 Nissan Sentra from a dealership with 40K miles on it. At 64K miles, the engine blew the 3rd cylinder. The dealership told me it required a completely new engine ($5,500 labor) and that the warranty on the engine expired at 60K miles. Yes, you got it - I was 4K miles over the warranty.

The dealership suggested I contact Nissan Consumer Affairs, which I did, and filed a claim. After two weeks of the worst customer service I've ever experienced, and me having to call them twice a day and leave messages for "Rhonda, the Regional Manager, " they denied the claim. Even though I sent them service records since I owned the vehicle, they indicated that since they had no idea how the first owner maintained the car, they weren't responsible and weren't going to do anything.

I want the world to know how horrible my experience was with Nissan. A 2009 vehicle blowing-up at only 64K miles? Consumer Affairs not taking any responsibility for the problem and providing horrible support. Do not buy a Nissan.
