I took my 2006 Nissan Altima to a local dealership because it had a blown head gasket at 68,000 miles. The warranty on Nissan is 60K - but after calling my local dealership they suggested I bring it to them for diagnosis and they felt sure Nissan would assist me with the repairs since it was only 8,000 miles out of the warranty. I took it to them on 8-24 they diagnosed it and said they were contacted their regional rep for assistance. They finally called me on 8/30 to say NO Nissan isnt offering any assistance. So the dealer suggested we call Nissan consume affairs and file a complaint. We filed our compaint on 8/30- at 3:00 pm and we received a call from Nissan Consumer affairs on 8/31 at 4:30 to say they would make a decision by 9/2. I waited - and on 9/2 I called Nissan at 12:30 PM and left a message for the rep handling my compaint. I didnt hear anything so I called them back at 5:45 PM the rep I spoke with said they had tried calling me at a disconected #- but she would transfer me to Eric and Kathy because they were the ones handling my compaint. I held for 24 min only to hear a recording say our office is now closed. It is now 9/3 (saturday)_ and the recording at Nissan says they are open but I cant get through. They have had my car for 10 days. I want answers! This is terrible customer service. This wll be the last Nissan I ever own!!
