I had my rims powdercoated and had dobbs take the tires and valve stems and weights off my 2008 mazda 3. When the tires were put back on the rims one of my valve stems (which were $70 sensors) "mysteriously" broke. The incredibly rude woman at the counter told me it was illegal to let me drive off without a $70 sensor. I said that's ridiculous and ordered them to put a regular stem in without a sensor. When i received my rims back one had a 4 and 1/2 gash in the back down to bare metal. I had just received my rims back the same day from the powdercoating company. When i asked the mechanic i was told quote "That's the nature of the beast when you get tires balanced" I said thats ridiculous and demanded my money back and payment to get the rim re powdercoated. They refused. Needless to say my business is now in other places when it comes to any car care. I just hope someone doesnt fall for there "no sensors is illegal" bullsh*t.
