Damaged a/c and won't pay to fix

VIOC serviced the a/c system and didn't cap it properly and got junk in the valve so the refrigerant leaked out an hour after the service. As a result the compressor burned up and the GMC dealership wants $1400 to replace but VIOC won't pay. THier service dept. Lacks training to do a/c service. Never trust them to service your vehicle! They 'forgot' to put oil in a friends car after the oil change and burned up the engine in less than 30 minutes of driving.
