Cars & Transport

On February 20, my husband went to Motorsports Unlimited in Hudson Florida to test drive a Ford F150 pick up truck. Brian Dreggors, the salesman, represented the truck as being in "tip-top" running condition. We bought the truck and before we could get it home it began to experience mechanical problems. The truck's engine would knock and shake violently.

We contacted Motorsports, who agreed, in writing, to repair the trucks mechanical issues at no costs to us. We returned the truck to them on February 22 for the repairs to be performed.

A month later on March 22, the truck was returned to our residence by a representative of Motorsports, John. John drove the truck to our home and had not been gone for 5 minutes when the truck's engine began to knock and shake violently. We called him and demanded that he return and take possession of the truck because it was not properly repaired, as they agreed. He took the truck back to Motorsports to be repaired. We documented the trucks running condition via digital video to prove how the truck was operating when we received it as being "fixed".

On March 24 we were contacted and informed that the truck was now fixed and that it was available for us to pick up. We picked up the truck and drove no more than 5 miles north on the highway when the truck's engine began to knock and shake violently again. We contacted Motorsports and left a message that this was not acceptable and that the truck was NOT repaired. We returned the truck to them on March 25, to have it repaired.

On March 27 I was contacted again and informed that the truck was now repaired and ready for us to pick up. We picked up the truck that weekend on March 31, only to have it get home, then we drove it out that evening to Inverness, Florida (about 15 miles from home) and the truck's engine again began to knock and shake violently. We again documented its running condition via digital video. We contacted Motorsports again and demanded that this truck be repurchased by the dealer due to them misrepresenting the truck to us when we bought it. They ignored our call.

It was at this time from speaking with Motorsports' mechanic that I learned that they were aware of the trucks mechanical problems BEFORE they sold it to us. They knew that the truck needed extensive mechanical repairs to run correctly and probably a new engine to make sure it would not happen again. Their mechanic signed a statement to the effect that they recommended that Motorsports not sell the truck, but that they try to sell the truck at auction to "wash their hands" of it because the truck would require extensive and costly repairs in order to run correctly. Motorsports ignored their recommendation and sold the truck to us 2 days later WITHOUT disclosing any mechanical issues that they KNEW about beforehand.instead they represented the truck as being in "tip-top" running condition. They knew the truck would run for approximately an hour or so before the serious mechanical issues would begin.

The fraudulently sold that truck knowing that we would experience serious mechanical failure soon after purchasing the vehicle.

Please listen to the truck yourself and form your own opinion. I have posted the videos on you tube for the world to see what rips offs and frauds Motorsports is. Please see the video at:
