I called the tollfree number of Uhaul on 7/30/04 800-468-4285 and tried to reserve a truck for 7/31/04, the sales person told me that Uhaul will call me back by 6:00pm on 7/30/04 to let me know if I had a truck reserved for 7/31/04, the sales person gave me a number to call 800-542-2675 just in case they did not call me back by 6:00pm on 7/30/04.

So I called at 6:30pm until midnight and the phone was busy all night and all day saturday. Uhaul charges a 5.00 non-refundable fee just to place the request. Now multiply that by hundreds of consumers that alot of profit they get. THey never did call me back so I could not get my stuff out of my apartment on saturday 7/31/04. I called them MOnday 8/3/04, at the tollfree number 800-468-4285, they told me that the request was cancelled and I did not cancel that request and they said they did but never notified me of the cancellation. They charge a 50.00 cancellation fee, but I never cancelled the request.

I wanted to make this known for everyone that uses the tollfree number to requet a reservation, you will never get a truck and you will be charge even though you don't get a truck from them.
