I reserved my truck weeks ago. This morning I received a call from a different location wanting to discuss my reservation. I questioned why a different location would be calling me; they couldn't answer me and said they'd call me back. An hour later, I got an email from the "traffic control manager" who wrote that my location might be changing, but they wouldn't be contacting me until 5 days before my pickup date. I immediately called Uhaul. The first two people I spoke with had no idea what I was even talking about and the third person was rude and tried to talk down to me.

What's the point of a reservation if they don't honor your specifics?

We have rented from Uhaul in the past and have never had a problem with the location, truck type, and time when we reserved it in advance.

This is probably some sort of new procedure they've added and it just sucks! Who needs the added stress of wondering if your pickup is going to be 5 minutes from your home or 35 minutes from your home? And then to charge so much per mile?! They should have to make up the mileage difference between locations.

We're looking elsewhere, hoping to be able to cancel our reservation.
