Sold Rebuilt item that did not function and failed to return core deposit and refund

Payed a rebuilding service for an Electronic Throttle Module for a 2001 Volvo S80. Paid $399.99 for a rebuilt unit and a core deposit untill I returned my old ETM. Core deposit was $100 of the price. Transaction date 01/03 #9591. ETM installation required driving 120 miles to download software from a Volvo dealer to make the ETM work. ETM did not appear to have been "rebuilt" at all. Only showed signs of a bad paint job (silver). Etm failed completely in only 2 weeks. Car could not be driven at all. Car was undrivable for next 6 weeks. Jaytan accepted one phone call from me and told me if I took the car to a dealer and they told me it was the ETM again, they would consider doing something about the bad ETM. The car could not be moved. After 6 weeks, I spent $648 to purchase another remanufactured ETM from a different company. It worked immediately, and without any problems. It came with the software already loaded. It continues to work flawlessly. Attempts to contact Jaytan have failed. They won't anwser the phone, return messages or e-mails. They have not returned the core deposit, although they recieved my old ETM months ago. And, to get my current ETM from the more reputable rebuilder, I had to provide them with a core (which ended-up being the one that Jaytan had supposedly repaired). I had no choice but to send that ETM to the new rebuilder, my car was out of service for 6 weeks and Jaytan refused to do anything to help. All attempts to contact Jaytan have been fruitless. I have been an ASE certified Master Technician over 30 years. I know what I am doing when it comes to cars. I have since found evidence that other people have had the same problems with Jaytan. Someone needs to stop them, soon.
