Performed Unnecessary Services and Then Did It Poorly To Boot

It was a costly mistake doing business with Auto Tech. I went in to have a timing belt changed in my Lexus GX 470. They said that I should also have a 100,000 mile service, and they they would research exactly what needs to be done. The replaced the transmission fluid, which according to the dealership and the manual, should not EVER get replaced.

The bill was $1400, and to make matters worse, they used the wrong type of transmission fluid. The car was undriveable within 30 days of the date they performed services on it. I had to take the car to the dealership and spend $600 to have the transmission flushed (twice) and replaced with the world standard fluid that should always be put in the car.

I have asked Asian Imports and they confirmed that any mechanic who works on a Lexus should know this. So basically they overcharged me for work that didn't need to be done and then did it poorly. I just wish that I would have reserached this place before going there. It had bad reviews on Yelp.

When I complained, he had the manufacturer of their crappy transmission fluid call me and say that it should be fine.
