Selling 2003 Tundra's with defective front brakes. Rip-off!

Toyota is well aware they have a design flaw with the front brakes on their Tundra Trucks from 2000 to 2003 year models. As serious as this problem is, they only will repair at no cost truck still under warranty. At this point, not many trucks can qualify for this no cost repair; a repair which should be done under total recall of this year group truck.

The problem with the brakes is after only a few thousand miles (this does vary) the brakes develop a severe vibration when applied at speeds 30 plus. This vibration is due to more than one problem. Warped rotors, undersized calipers, and something to do with the rear brakes. According to on-line research with many others with the same problems, the rear brakes are on these trucks are hardly in use at all.

Knowing this design flaw exist, Toyota still refuses to recall the subject year group trucks. Private owers can get the Toyota fix, at a cost of around 3000 dollars out of pocket. Toyota used to have the rep of standing behind their products.in this case, they better stand behind this truck or risk the brakes failing and getting ran over!
