Miles Chrysler Jeep Dodge ripoff Contract fraud. Financing Deciet. Trade-in sold illegally. Misdirected payment. Failure to secure lender. Yo-Yo Scam

On 12/18/03 my fiance and i drove away in an '04 Dodge Ram, with our first contract, and supposed secured financing. We then fell into a yo-yo scam of sorts. Long story short, we had to return to the dealer to get a few seperate contracts, due to difficulty in "finding a lender".

Our trade-in was sold when we asked for it back. This is illegal since a lender was supposed to be secured before doing so. It took 'til 2/11/04 to finally get our lender, Household Auto Finance. A lender that denied us in writing on 1/23/04.

From Dec to Feb, the dealer destroyed our credit rating by inquiring with over 10 seperate lending entities, to desperately find us a loan, all the while telling us we had a lender.

So now Household is going with a contract the dealer sent them, dated 12/31/04. After numerous runarounds on the phone with the original lender Chrysler Financial, and the dealer, we were stunned to find a bill in the mail at the end of February from Household. How can this be? We were denied by them in Jan. It seems they suddenly took over Chrysler's loan? They even got a check we wrote to Chrysler, that was sent to them by the dealer. Very long and confusing journey.

Needless to say, we have investigations/complaints submitted to the BBB and Department of Justice. The BBB is useless, since well written letters filled with lies from Miles Dodge got the complaints dropped. The Dept of Justice has buried my file due to lack of manpower to devote to this issue. Even my attorney seems to be taking forever.

In the meantime i'm being nailed with a ton of fees and threatened with repossession, all because Household says "we're going with what Miles Dodge sent us". Strange that after financing five vehicles in my life flawlessly, this one has turned into a nightmare. All due to the decietful practices of a Dodge dealer, and a suddenly appearing, uncooperative lender.

Watch out for shady dealings when financing a new vehicle folks. Seems nowadays you need a lawyer just to buy a car. At least at this dealer anyway.
